Maha Shivratri Festival commencing on 1st March at
Shiv Khori Shrine

Katra, February 11- The District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Mr. P. K. Pole who is also Vice Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board convened a meeting of officers concerned to discuss the arrangements for the celebration of Maha Shivratri Festival at Shivkhori Shrine near Jammu commencing on 1st March, 2011.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner asked the officers of different departments who have been taking active part from its start to make the festival more impressive. The meeting discussed various points for the smooth conduct of festival mainly included security of shrine and enroute, creating of parking at Kanda, necessary repair of road from Kanda to Ransoo, completion of all necessary work on the track from Ransoo to Shiv Khori, barricading, proper sanitation, uninterrupted power supply, illumination of main gate and its flower decoration, medical facilities with stand by Ambulance, preparation of stage for inauguration of Festioval, supply of essential commodities ration/LPG etc, identity cards for staff, fire fighting services, yatra parchi counter, clock room facility and increase of mini buses from Kanda to Ransoo.

Among others, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, ACD, ARTO, Asstt Director Tourism Katra, CMO Reasi, engineers from different departments, senior officers of the police department, Assistant Director, CAPD, Tehsildar Reasi and BDO Pouni were present in the meeting.
