2-day Snow Festival in Gulmarg
Gulmarg (Kashmir), February 21: The 2-days Snow Festival was kicked off at Gulmarg today. Organized by the Department of Tourism, Jammu & Kashmir, various teams and individuals are participating in snow base-ball, snow rugby, snow cycling, ice-skating, skiing and snowboarding.
The Department of Tourism organizes such events to promote tourism in the valley. The department also organizes such Snow Festival at Pahalgam and has prepared a plan to create basic infrastructure at newly identified tourist spots like Yusmarg, Bangus Valley, Sonamarg, Dodhpathri etc for which development authorities have been constituted by the department..
