Srinagar (Kashmir) , June 18 – Mr. R. K. Goyal, Principal Secretary to the Governor and Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, accompanied by the Additional Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Preet Pal Singh, and a team of the Shrine Board and other officers inspected the Chandanwari track and visited Sheshnag Camp and reviewed the ongoing works for ensuring time-bound completion of all the arrangements for the ensuing annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

The CEO trekked from Chandanwari to Sheshnag and reviewed the status of the track and the ongoing repair works enroute. He issued directions to the Engineering Wing of the Shrine Board to fast track all the ongoing Yatra-related works at the Nunwan Base Camp, and the Camps enoute to the Holy Cave.

At Sheshnag, Mr. Goyal had a detailed inspection of the Camp area and reviewed the progress made so far on positioning of various facilities. He asked the DGM (Works) of the Shrine Board to further speed up the completion process of the various facilities so that these are put in place well within the envisaged time lines.

Later, on return to Pahalgam, the CEO undertook an indepth inspection of the ongoing works at the Nunwan Base Camp, which included those relating to water and power supply, sanitation arrangements, repair and maintenance of lanes/drains and creation of other requisite facilities for the Yatris, which are nearing completion. He asked the concerned agencies to ensure the commissioning of all the required facilities expeditiously.
