Ladakh Sindhu Festival

Three days Sindhu Darshan Festival (Singhey Khababs Spring Festival) is celebrated during the mid in Leh, Ladakh.

Sindhu Darshan Festival is celebrated to endorse the Indus River (Sindhu River) as a symbol of the communal harmony and unity of India. Sindhu Festival starts with a colourful ceremony on the bank of the Indus River. Ladakh Sindhu Festival is an expression of the love and affinity the people feel with the river Indus. It is also a strong medium to promote cultural values and tourism in the region.

To attract more and more tourist during the celebrations of Sindhu Darshan Festival 2009, the Government Administration plans to conduct the entire celebrations in effective and comprehensive manner and has invited locals to come forward and participate in celebrating the festival and get involved in whole arrangements of festival.
