Horse Polo Championship from July 17th 2010 in Kargil
Srinagar (Kashmir), July 16 - Minister for Youth, Services and Sports, Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. R. S. Chib shared with the media that Chief Minister’s Horse Polo Championship will be held from July 17th onwards at Drass, Kargil this year. In this Championship 8-16 teams are expected to participate.
The Minister convened meeting with the concerned officers to discuss the measures to be taken by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir for promotion of traditional Horse Polo Game in Ladakh.
The tournament will conclude on July 23, 2010 and Minister for Youth Services and Sports will be the Chief Guest on the occasion. The meeting was among others attended by Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council and President, Polo Promotion Committee, Drass and Kargil.
