BSNL Mobile Connectivity en route Shri Amarnathji Yatra

BSNL to provide pre-paid SIM cards to Shri Amarnathji Pilgrims

  Holy Shivlingam at Shri Amarnathj

Srinagar (Kashmir), June 19 – Not all the pilgrims who undertake the Shri Amarnathji Yatra use post-paid mobile service by BSNL which provides connectivity in the entire Yatra area.

To enable all pilgrims to be able to use their mobile phones during their Yatra, BSNL has agreed to provide pre-paid SIM cards with roaming facilities.
At the request of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board BSNL has agreed to provide pre-paid SIM cards with roaming facilities that would cover the entire Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

Such SIM cards will be sold only to registered pilgrims at special counters being set up at the Nunwan and Baltal Base Camps. These SIM cards will be operative only for 4 days, to cover the pilgrims’ journey to the Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji from either route.

Giving details, Additional CEO of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board said that any Yatri (pilgrim) who is interested in obtaining a pre-paid connection must produce the counterfoil of the Registration Slip for Shri Amarnathji Yatra as well as proof of Identity, address, UID card along with four photographs.
