Helicopter Service for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi resumes

Katra (Jammu & Kashmir), September 09, 2014 - Helicopter between Katra-Sanjichhat resumed operating today as per information received from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

The Sanjichhat-Bhawan Track for Yatra was also opened from this morning, while Sanjichhat-Bhairon Temple route was opened for the pilgrimage yesterday. Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, said that Yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji is proceeding smoothly both via Sanjichhat-Bhawan and Sanjichhat-Bhairon Temple tracks. The Shrine Board’s staff and Disaster Management Task Force remained deployed on the Track to ensure smooth and safe movement of pilgrims on the Tracks. While around 18000 pilgrims took darshan at the Shrine on 8th September, around 13000 pilgrims proceeded from Katra to the Holy Cave today. .

   


The Chief Executive Officer further informed that efforts have been intensified to clear the Lower Track between Adhkwari and Bhawan and to make it worthy for movement of pilgrims at the earliest.
