Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2018 reaches 2,78,878 on day 46th

Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir), August 12, 2018 - Poojan of Chhari Mubarak for Shri Amarnathji YatraThe Holy Mace - Chhari Mubarak of Swami Amarnathji led by its sole custodian and head of True Trust, Mahant Deependra Giri was taken to Goddess 'Sharika-Bhawani' temple for Poojan.

The Sharika Bhawani is the presiding deity of the Srinagar city who manifested herself in a figure of 'Shila' (holy rock) at Hari Parvat.

Accompanied by Sadhus and devotees the pujan was performed and prayers offered for everlasting peace for Jammu & Kashmir. Chhari-Sthapana will be performed tomorrow at Shri Amareshwar Temple Akhara Building, Budshah Chowk Srinagar and would be kept in Shri Amareshwar Temple for 'Darshan' till it leaves for the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji.

Another Poojan will be performed on the occasion of 'Nag-Panchami' at at Shri Amareshwar Temple, Akhara Building, Budshah Chowk, Srinagar on August 15, 2018.

Chhari-Mubarak will then leave from Dashnami Akhara Srinagar on August 20, 2018 for onward pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine of Sri Amarnathji situated at an altitude of 13,500 feet in South Kashmir district of Anantnag and would reach the Hole Cave Shrine on the auspicious day of 'Shravan-Purnima' that falls on August 26, 2018.

Meanwhile, on the 46th day of the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2018, 806 Yatris paid obeisance at the Holy Cave Shrine. Till date 2,78,878 Yatris had the darshan of the Shivling at the Holy Cave.

The weather remained cloudy around the Yatra Track and it also drizzled during the day but the Shri Amarnathji Yatra was going on smoothly from both Pahalgam - Chandanwari as well as Baltal routes.
