Musical programme at Mubarak Mandi during Jammu Festival 2013

Jammu (J&K), December 26, 2013 - As a part of Jammu Festival-2013, a scintillating cultural bonanza today organized by artists of cultural wing of J&K State Information Department in Dewan-e-Aam premises at Mubarak Mandi in which large audience enjoyed a variety of songs depicted Dogra folk presented by the singers of the department.

On the occasion, Joint Director of Information, was the chief guest. Deputy Directors, Cultural Officer besides other senior officers, officials including people of city of temples in large numbers were present on the occasion.

The Director appreciated the enchanting musical programme presented by the artists of State Information Department and assured the audience that such type of programme shall be made a regular feature in across the Jammu region. She further said that such musical events are necessary and should be a regular feature for promotion of Dogri culture so that the new generation gets acquainted with the Dogra culture.

The artist who performed on the occasion were Jeevan Sharma, Vijay Anand, Sunil Kumar, Surjit Singh Sumbaria, Kamal Kumar, Amit Kumar, Balbir Kumar and Rakesh Kumar.
